A variation on the macchiato
Literally meaning “marked” or “stained” in Italian, the macchiato features a shot of espresso with a drop of steamed milk. This version is the inverse, consisting of iced cold milk “stained” with a fluffy espresso topping.

Upside Down Caffé Macchiato.
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
- 1 cup cold milk ((any type))
- 2 shots espresso, cooled
- Mix ice, vanilla, and cold milk in a glass. Top with cooled espresso, and enjoy!
