All your favorite all-American Thanksgiving flavors packed into one panini
I feel like most people have so many leftovers after Thanksgiving. That’s why I’m a fan of packing all the favorite Thanksgiving flavors – the turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce – into one grilled sandwich. Add some cheese, and you’re golden!
I love to use pumpernickel for this sandwich – or in general for any grilled sandwich. Pumpernickel is one of my favorite types of bread – I just love the nuttiness and different flavor it has as opposed to just ordinary white or sourdough bread.
You really don’t even need a written recipe to make this sandwich. Just gather your leftovers, stack and pack them between two slices of your favorite bread, and grill!

The Pilgrim (Thanksgiving Leftovers Panini).

- 2 slices pumpernickel bread
- 2 slices American cheese
- 2-3 slices turkey ((preferably white meat))
- 1/4 cup stuffing
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 teaspoon sage, chopped
- Heat large skillet over medium-low heat. Spread about ½ tablespoon of butter or margarine on each slice of pumpernickel. Lay bread butter-face down in skillet.
- Add American cheese, on top of slice, and heat until cheese is slightly melted. Add turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and sage to one slice of sandwich. Sandwich two slices together. Heat until cheese is fully melted, and fillings are warm. Slice, and enjoy!
