The star of your Memorial Day cookout
I honestly love turkey burgers more than regular burgers.
They’re just so much lighter, and I feel you can add more flavors and spices to turkey burgers than beef burgers.
That’s precisely why I’ve added a bunch of fresh herbs, lemon, and feta to these turkey burgers! They’re fresh and light for the summer – especially when paired with a light sauce and soft brioche bun.

Herb-y Lemon Feta Turkey Burgers.
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh oregano, chopped
- 1 large egg
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup feta
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil ((for sautéing))
- 4 brioche buns, sliced in half and toasted
- 4 tablespoons mayo ((optional))
- 2 avocado, skinned and sliced ((optional))
- 1 cup microgreens ((optional))
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, basil, oregano, egg, lemon zest, mustard, feta, salt, and pepper. Grab about 3/4 cup of the mixture per burger, and form into a patty. Place on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet temporarily while the oil is heating.
- Heat the olive oil over medium-low heat in a large skillet. Add the patties to the oil, and sautée until fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes per side. You can also grill the burgers – simply add patties to grill, and grill for 1-2 minutes per side. To assemble the burgers, spread mayo (1 tablespoon per burger) on one side of each brioche bun. Add turkey burger on top, and top with sliced avocado (1/2 avocado per burger) and micro greens (1/4 cup per burger). Enjoy!
